What’s in it for me?

How you will benefit as one of our residents

Supported housing 1

Roxeth Gate in Harrow has 42 units. These are self-contained studio or one-bedroom flats, each with private or shared kitchen and bathroom facilities.

When you live with us, you get:

  • Secure accommodation in your own room or
self-contained flat for up to two years in one of our eight supported housing projects
  • Self-catering facilities or catered rooms

While a safe place to stay is a huge help, this alone won’t help you turn things around for good. So, you’ll also have access to:

  • A support worker who will create a personal development plan with you to help you move forward in the ways you need most
  • Basic skills tuition, computer courses and help with finding training courses
  • Help with writing a CV, looking for work and being successful in job interviews
  • Learning how to cook, budget your money, follow a healthy lifestyle and move forward into permanent accommodation
  • Help with claiming benefits and registering with a doctor and dentist
  • Support with emotional issues, developing your confidence and improving your social skills
  • Resident activities and opportunities to volunteer at YMCA West London . Many of our volunteers have gone on to find permanent jobs elsewhere as a result of gaining transferrable skills and experience.
