Night Support Manager – Uxbridge Project


Full time permanent post, average 35 hours per week, working 7 days on 7 days
off, night shift from 10pm -8am

Salary £18500.00 per annum

YMCA West London ’s mission is developing opportunities that transform young
lives. The primary purpose of YMCA West London’s Uxbridge Project is to provide
high quality, holistic support and temporary housing accommodation with
associated facilities for vulnerable young people to develop their personal and
social skills sufficient for them to live independently from the YMCA in a
sustainable way.

Every member of staff has the support of residents as their primary purpose; the
principle accountabilities of the post flows from this premise.
Our Uxbridge Project comprises 23 units housing vulnerable, homeless young
people. Our residents can access a range of on-site support services to help them
move on to accommodation of their own.

As a Night Manager you will be the first point of contact for residents and visitors.
Responsible for the day to day security of the building, you will monitor the CCTV
and conduct regular patrols of the building. You will support, and answer queries
from residents and deal with any issues that arise whilst keeping an accurate
record of these in the incident book and generally ensuring a high-quality support
service is maintained for residents during night-time hours.

Ensuring that all information is communicated to other staff via handover
between shifts and making good use of the communication book is essential

To be successful in this role we are now looking for like-minded enthusiastic
individuals with the necessary experience who will:

  • Be customer focused, possess excellent customer service skills and you should have experience of working in a customer facing role, preferably within a reception environment or similar.
  • Knowledge of handling emergency situations is also essential
  • Have a high standard of accuracy and good communication skills
  • Be able to deal effectively with challenging situations and use own
    discretion when necessary
  • Be able to represent our service and the organisation
  • Good ICT skills
