“Levelling the Field” for disadvantaged young women

Our 9th 6 week “Get on Track” programme is underway. It’s part of an ongoing partnership with the Dame Kelly Holmes trust and comes under the Levelling the Field, Women and Girls Facing Disadvantage project that is funded by Comic Relief.

It targets 16 – 25 year olds who are not in education, employment or training, including young women who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence, victims of crime, women at risk of sexual exploitation, women with a history of drug and alcohol misuse, lone parents, women who are homeless and/or have a history of living in the care system, ex-offenders, and women with mental health issues.
The programme brings together world class athlete mentoring, with job preparation and practical experience.

Will, a former participant, said: “Get on Track made me realise how important it was to get a job and better myself, one week after Get on track, I’m in the final steps of an interview process and 100% confident that I will succeed.”
