Jobs Track

At YMCA West London we believe that the recruitment of people who have used homelessness services will improve our service delivery and enhance our credibility with customers, service commissioners and other stakeholders.

We are committed to taking positive action that will help us employ more people who have used homelessness service. Over the past year we have taken the following action:

  • Updated our Recruitment Policy & Procedure, including updating all paperwork/ forms, etc. to break down barriers that people with ‘lived experience of homelessness’ may have in accessing employment with YMCA West London
  • Joined the Customer Employment Partnership.
  • Created an Action Plan with commitment to steps we intend to take to continue to break down barriers and champion our clients and what they have to offer
  • Developed our Tracks programme to enable entry to the employment market through several different routes

More about the Customer Employment Partnership (CEP)

CEP is made up of a group of like minded organisation who are keen to promote the value of employing those who are, or have previously been, clients of their services specifically within the homeless sector. As part of this commitment a website that brings together all of the organisations current job roles and training opportunities has been established. The organisations represented are keen to receive applications from anyone who has had lived experience of being homeless.
